The design contest is open to all students enrolled in middle school or high school within the tri-county area of Lake, Ashtabula and Geauga Counties. The first-place winner will be awarded a $150.00 cash prize, 2nd Place winner $75.00 and 3rd Place winner $50.00. All entries will be judged on their artistry, creativity, originality, and their ability to communicate a clear and positive message about equality and diversity
All design images must be no larger than standard design board size (22″ x 28″) and no smaller than 8.5″ x11″. All contest entries shall be submitted to either the school, where we will make arrangements to pick them up, or to Fair Housing Resource Center, Inc. located at 1100 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio 44077, by the deadline of February 17, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. The winner will be announced on February 24, 2025, via email and Facebook.
FHRC will be using the winning designs for t-shirts, publications, materials to promote our message, and inside our lobby! The participating students and schools will be recognized in all marketing materials if their image is utilized.
We hope that your school participates in our contest this year! FHRC would welcome the opportunity to visit with teachers and/or students to provide additional information to help educate our youth about equality and diversity. Our visit may assist the contestants with an understanding of this fundamental right, resulting in an entry that would be more meaningful to the students.
